We found a rolled up and sealed leaf when we dug some compost out of an opened bag. We put it in our bug hotel for safety.Most used: EM5i + 12-200mm, In briefcase: E-PM2 + 12-42mmEZ

I have not seen it before, or since actually. I think it must be looking for somewhere to lay eggs, and seal up whilst the eggs incubate...

They usually stop for a rest just after cutting the leaf and may stop elsewhere I am not sure. They line the tube with leaves to lay their eggs and put pollen in a as food for the larva.
The hole in the log may be a usable space.
