Dragonfly and Spider Web

Best of the bunch from a first real attempt with my newly acquired 60mm Macro lens and E-M5 ii.
Bought them both more specifically for having a go at fungi and woodland flora this autumn.
Lot to learn with the focusing aspect of close up photography, really outside my comfort zone.
Give me a good old Tram or Trolleybus any day, but it was a very enjoyable hunt for insects.

Thank you, I think the overall look was enhanced by the spider web.
Another lot of a Damsel Fly were disappointingly all out of focus, its a very tricky business

Some nice yellow lichen Xanthoria parietina.

This was about the best of the rest.
Not sure about the overall quality, but I liked the shadow it cast.

Very nice images. I agree that Macro shots require a lot more setup work than most other genres, but the results are worth it. There's also the problem of the subject not always remaining still.

Very nice Tram, I think I will treat myself to a 60mm, I can't justify the 90.

I think everyone bought a 60mm Macro during Covid Lockdown so plenty about used for sale.
Nice lens, weather resistant, light and very portable, go for it.
