  • Some Collembola today

Here are some springtails from today when I was testing different set ups of lighting for extensions tubes and a teleconverter

These were taken with my E-M1ii and Laowa 50mm f2.8 C dreamer with 26mm of extensions tubes and an M.Zuiko MC-14 teleconverter so that is about 4.3:1 on a 17.3mm wide sensor handheld and uncropped

These were both cropped and I am not sure what magnification they were

I like the way people experiment on here both in using the equipment and in subject matter. These are fascinating glimpses into a tiny world. Thank you for posting.

I have shot them for about 8 years now I am working on lighting and higher magnification here previously I had up to 2.9:1

The first I used to call Isotomurus palustris but it seems to have been separated as I. pseudopalustris.

          The second is Entomobrya intermedia.
