This was wandering around the house one evening. It gave me the opportunity to use my new godox v860 and cygnustech diffuser. It seemed to work OK (better than previous lighting attempts). I took a set of focus bracket images. Unfortunately the insect was waving its antennea around so when I did an automated stack in photoshop it ended up with several bits of antenna. I tried manipulating the blending masks in PS without success so I just picked two images that mainly covered the insect and manually blended them in PS. I even found that difficult. I was going along fine until I decided to zoom in and then was never able to get the blend mask editing working again. Even though, to me, the interface was just like it was when I was successfully blending, instead I was just painting black marks onto the image instead of on the mask. I started again and did without zooming and got an acceptable result. I just dislike the PS interface - it can do too much.
Anyway, here is the Katydid -

A small Huntsman spider was on a letter when I grabbed it out of the mailbox. This is a single image -
