Giant house spider

These regularly get trapped in the kitchen sink. This was a middling sized one:



This was taken with the ZD 50mm f./2 Macro, 2x EC-20 converter, plus 16mm extension tube, on the OM-1. It's about a half crop as I needed to rotate the image.

And here is our friend in the bottom pf a beaker before being released outside:



This was taken with just the 50mm macro.

Both shots used an FL-50R flash.

Aren't they fab? I like that you captured their little mohican.

I always leave a length of toilet paper draped into the bath as a spider ladder, so they don't starve to death in there.
