Because I used to live alone in the last house in the village, I downloaded a poster that wished everyone a happy halloween but which also said I wouldn't be opening the door. No longer solo, but every year I still print off a poster.
My youngest son has just moved to the US and I got lots of pictures of his two - which seemed to start the weekend before - collecting an awful lot of sweets. The French (daughter and family) seem to go more for Toussaint and had a big party, not so much knocking on doors. However, the Spanish, perhaps because of the dia del muertos, are into it in a big way - lots of parties (Spanish family...)
