I guess largely as a result of the recent mild weather the annual winter influx of winter thrushes from Northern/Eastern Europe is a good couple of weeks later than usual. But over the last coupe of days large flocks of Redwings & Fieldfares (and doubtless Blackbird and Song Thrushes with them) have been passing overhead (we're about miles inland as the crow - or thrush - flies). Most haven't stopped but around lunchtime a dozen or so Redwings dropped into the hawthorns in our front hedge and subsequently spent a while feeding on the berries and on the front lawn.
Always at their best and brightest at this time of the year and lovely to see. Of course would have been better if our windows weren't so embarrassingly filthy!
OM-1.1 with 150-400mm using both internal 1.25x and external 1.4x TC's ISO 3200 and PP using ON1 Photo Raw 2025 (new version just released this week!)
