    Happens to us quite often. Most times the bird (more often than not a pigeon or collared dove) survives and flies off or drops to the patio, rests for a while and manages to fly away.

    The last time, a week ago, it was a collared dove. Sadly it didn't survive and died on the patio. It went to the great wheely bin in the sky dressed in a pedal bin bag.

      Yikes, poor thing. A Sparrowhawk would be my guess,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

      They do like doves...

        Hard to think its' not a bird strike Not sure I've ever seen a clearer hit! Looks like a bit of Collared Dove in the feathery remains?
