I disagree, Nature is always inspiring. Just look at the colours in the male 'black'-bird, or the gosling with size 12 wellingtons.

I agree with you; I was referring to the fact that they weren't particularly remarkable birds compared with what could be available. We tend to overlook the common birds because we see them so often: magpies, dunnock, Robins, tits, mallards...etc. If we take the time to look, there is beauty in all of them.

I'm with you there. Our local birds are lovely too. What I like about them, is that if you have a regular walk like I do, you are probably seeing the same bird each day. They do become tolerant of you, especially if you feed them...
