The first of the 2024 generation

A pair of Egyptian geese with 9 chicks yesterday. Allowing for an incubation period of 25-28 days, the first egg must have been laid within a few days of mid January.

I posted a comment on your other shots of Egyptian Geese four weeks ago: "They usually breed earlier than most other birds so there should soon be some youngsters to see." Do I win a prize? 😀
