Went on a cruise to the Caribbean late late year and went up the Aerial Tram. These birds are very small and I had a job seeing them in the undergrowth beneath us. Massive crop, 500 ISO, developed in Lightroom and Topaz denois and sharpen. I need to go back.

Well done for even trying to photograph hummingbirds in flight! I spent A LOT of time both in Costa Rica in 2022 & Colombia last November trying to capture hummers in flight and was generally pleased if better than 1 in 50 was a keeper. I don't know if you looked up what species your hummer is but assuming these were taken on St.Lucia there are (apparently) only 3 likely species and 2 of those have quite pronounced long and decurved bills (Purple -throated Carib & Green-throated Carib) which only leaves Antillean Crested Hummingbird as my best guess given the short, straight bill and golden sheen on the lower back/rump (the crest is probably only obvious when a male is displaying).Comment
