few hours out this morning with the M1X and a mixed bag of shots , both near and far ,static and b.i.f , seems ? to suffer less with noise than others perhaps due to as was discussed before xmas the batteries are further from the sensor/processor .. . love the bird i.d works really well took me all of 5 minutes to master it .. the 1-mkiii will shortly be for sale . was going to keep it but cant see the point .. the only thing I have changed is I found the the peak designs leash a bit thin and pressurising so have replaced with op/tec padded strap using some spare P/D clip ends I had spare . results to date below .more to follow

Nice shots, I like the Stonechats!
Only reason to keep Mk3 is if you wanted the Starry Sky AF for astrophotography, I never did understand why they couldn’t add that via a firmware update. Can’t remember if there are any other features the Mk3 had that are not on the 1X.
