I find it really hard to get close to these Marsh Harriers at reserves in the UK. Sometimes you luck out and they come close to a hide, but then if they fly right over it can be tricky pointing the camera up through a hide window!
These were at Suffolk Wildlife Trust Hen Reedbeds near Southwold in Suffolk. I mostly got flight shots but I saw one perched out in the reedbeds on a dull day so I took a Hand Held High Res shot of it and cropped it - HHHR helps with the high ISO and sometimes works OK on a bird of prey that is not moving around much.
