A few snaps from the Somerset Wildlife Trust reserve at Westhay, today. I was rather annoyed because of 24 shots in a sequence of the Grebe with a fish, the only one that was reasonably in focus is the one shown. Others were not useable. User error obviously!
OM1i + 300f4. [No extender].
It was just the fish sequence that was bad. I was caught unawares probably with the wrong set of focus points, so I am sure it was pure operator error.
Thanks. I saw and photo'd the Glossy Ibis, but did not see any Sand Martins alas. Plenty of Marsh Harriers, but only the Bittern Boom....Great venue...
Lovely set. If one was in focus, why were the rest not? Odd....
I am down at Ham Wall tomorrow, so hopefully come back with a bag full...
'Cos I think I had a small area set and I wasn't following the bird well enough. I use the Fn lever to change the focus area and each of my C1 to C4 settings have a different lever set up. I am very easily confused these days!
