I've been sorting out a few astro shots taken on some rare clear nights this month.
This was a 4 second HHHR shot on a tripod at 40mm f2.8 ISO 6400. An effective exposure time of 48 seconds if we can assume HHHR combined 12 images. There is a small but acceptable amount of star trailing evident.
The HHHR gives some noise reduction but I also ran it through DxO PureRaw.
There are some nice views of the planets this month, I've seen Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Venus in one session.
The orange star in this shot is Aldebaran (not Mars!)
It was a bit chilly to spend time trying to see if Neptune was visible in my small Celestron C5 SCT scope. I was going to try some shots through the scope but can't find my T-mount adapter to attach the camera
