It's possible that you inadvertently hid the upload image attachment button (it has an 'x' that does this when clicked or tapped).

That is very likely Ian. Although I can't imagine why an upload image button should ever be hidden on an image sharing forum. That said, I'm still discovering buttons on the dashboard of a car I bought, seven years ago.

Sadly, there is no such thing as a forum off the shelf ideal for a site like ours so they all have loads of general purpose features, many that can't be turned off.
