We seem to be getting some beautiful days here after the storms so I went out into town again for a walk and took my E-PM2 and 14-42mm EZ in my pocket. Living in a touristy place it is a challenge not coming up with pictures seen many times before but the winter sunshine and still'ish river were particularly nice today to give a good reflection of the viaduct. Kiefer Sutherland and Danny Dyer are in town at the moment shooting a comedy movie and they've certainly got some wonderful light to work with...

Thanks Joe. Actually the viaduct is newer than it looks; it was built in 1851. However it was built with crenelations, which are cropped out in my photo, to echo Knaresborough Castle that overlooks the viaduct (behind me when I took this photo) and that was built in 1100, although only parts of the walls and the keep remain today. The castle was owned by Hugh de Morville who fled to it in 1170 after taking part in the infamous murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket in Canterbury Cathedral.Originally posted by Joe_T View PostNice shot. I love the reflection. I'm always amazed when I see such old structures still standing. In the US we don't have many things that old.Roy

Joe said, but I thought that I would emphasise his view is the same as mine
