  • Bluebells at Ashridge - May 2010

Had a day off from the birds/animals - and took a trip through Ashridge en route to a date with a dental technician in Dunstable. Probably caught the bluebells at their best. Four regular shots and one taken with the E-30's pop art capability - not everyone's cup of tea but what do you think?

    1. A blanket of bluebells

    2. Distant bluebells

    3. An artist at work

    4. An artwork in wood in a wood!

    5. Pop art

All taken with the E-30, 12-60mm

Feared the worse as I spotted your title....but I should not have worried as they are great with 1 and 3 the stand out 'uns.
The artist adds so much to the comp and I wish I could have joined in....what a picture she must have done.

really like all of those. The first one is supremely good. Planning to get out to my local forest tomorrow to try and get some bluebell shots but I think I may have missed them at their best
May all your shots be in Focus

Thank you for your comments, Keith, Chippy and Edmund.

Keith - It's great how we each have our own individual interpretation of nature, maybe through the camera or the paint brush.

Chippy and Edmund - I see you are both from Kent, slightly south of my own location. We have friends from Norfolk who visited a couple of weekends ago and they were surprised how far advanced our foliage was, compared to theirs. It would seem from your comments that in similar fashion Kent is in advance of Hertfordshire, although your pix, Edmund still show the bluebells looking fresh. Hope you manage to get some shots this weekend, Chippy.

Our son lives in the north of Kent and we have a great north/south of the Thames rivalry - he's always complaining its a few degrees colder here, even though he was brought up in the chilly north!

          Regards, Ann1e
