    I'm slightly envious as my local butterflies refuse to stand still long enough for me to take a photo.

        Thanks for the comments David, Nick. I didn't expect to see an Orange Tip this early in the year, my wife said see had seen a lot of butterflies whilst walking the dog, so i'll have to do some serious butterfly hunting if the weather stays good this weekend.

              Sorry Jim I did try, saw several I tried to get a shot of a pair in flight, I have done it before, but I was in the fens and the AF kept locking on the reed heads so I had to give up.

              They very rarely rest with their wing open but you can be lucky to photograph one just before it takes off.
