Found the EVF on the EP2 a joy to use on these shots enabling you to review through the EVF, something I am finding very useful

I like this shot - and alll the more interesting given the equipment. So I take it you recommend the EVF?

Did you do much pp to achieve this result?

      Stephen, thanks for looking

The EVF is simply superb, it gives such instant feedback in the EVF with histogram etc, being live view as well you get to see what effects exposure differences make in the EVF

I was also using my E3 and 12/60 on the day, but in all honesty preffered the EP2 and felt I got better shots with it, but that does depend on subject matter

Reference PP, I have done some dodging and burning but not much PP on this one.

Kirk Tuck, a pro based in Texas has some very warm words for the EP cameras and the Olympus E-System in general. Have a look at http://visualsciencelab.blogspot.com/

He was a committed Nikon user but last year, just to refresh his creative juices, he jumped ship to Olympus, much to the amazement of his colleagues. Some of the blog content is equipment based but most concentrates on the photographic process, and keeping his head above water as a pro in a rapidly changing marketplace - definitely worth reading the blog right back to its launch in 2009.

Thanks for the link Jerry, it's nice to see someone jump this way from Nikon as opposed to the other way lol.

Phil's photo and Jerry's link has been enough to tip my hand. My E-P2 should arrive tomorrow!

I bet folks who picked up Pen fast primes for peanuts in pre-digital times are feeling a bit smug now. Kirk Tuck's EP2 shots with the 60mm f1.5 look pretty damn good to me - who needs a full frame sensor to get shallow depth of field?
