Well the clocks have gone foreward, time to dust off the macro skills and see if I remember how to do it.

Even some early ladybirds about, though they wouldn't agree to pose.







Now I need to go looking for that part of my brain that managed to identify the exact species.

Though the Bees provide the detail, I just provide the camera.

Still in a few weeks there will be a better choice of environments to play with to help composition.

For any one interested I have 'identified' this as a male Anthophora plumipes.

Crikey Nick, you really have a superb 'all round' ability in taking great pics with your camera. I don't think I have ever seen a poor shot of yours.

More of a challenge for me is the identification, there are so many 'bees' and unless you've already positively identified the species it is difficult to find the 'confirming' image in books/online.
