Lovely shots Andy. I like No1 as you've managed to catch the bird standing still and the tighter crop gives less uninteresting water.

      Cheers

I really like these two shots Andy, especially #1, and the contrast between the beautiful plumage of the bird set against the detritus which has collected over and next to the rusty pipe. Where was this taken?

Thanks for the link Andy. We must pay it a visit. We used to belong to the Herts & Middlesex WT and also the RSPB and ran a YOC group but didn't visit any of the sites in your area.

There's a one lives 20 yards from our front door and I've never managed to get a shot anything like as nice as those, #1 is my favourite.

                Re: Grey Wagtail

On my last outing down the burn a couple of schoolteachers asked if we were there to film the wagtails.
I replied something about not having the right lenses : which was true, the longest was 50mm!
I tried to get them on my friend's big Fuji bridge camera but despite having equiv 400mm the clunky beast had such a poor EVF and was so slow shot to shot I didn't even have a chance.
I'll take my old fungussy 300mm down next time just in case...
