Waders and friends

Sharing some recent photos of waders that were taken late evening on my way home from a rather productive session (50+ species observed), using the car as a mobile hide. The Spotted redshank made me happy as they are rarely seen here during springtime.

After the sun had set below the horizon, getting a shutter speed high enough was calling for a fairly high ISO, I tried up to 6400. I must say I am very pleased with the OM-1; both the IQ and the AF performance.

Very nice shots. It was worth trading the high ISO for better light. I frequently find myself taking shots too close to the middle of the day for various reasons and the light is too harsh - unless there is light cloud to diffuse it.
