  • Mr or Mrs Squirrel

    Hi

I've been experimenting in the garden with the 50-200mm I bought from Steve (Wreckdiver) over the last few days.

This was taken handheld at 200mm, f4.0, ISO 400 and 1/250 it's a straight out of the camera jpeg except for some cropping. I know it's not that sharp, I think I need to practice my handholding technique or up the shutter some more.

    Cheers

Thanks Keith, I really should try to learn to use p/shop properly.

It's also worth trying a shot at a higher ISO if the lighting is good, so that you can then get a higher shutter speed to counter the handshake - ISO 800 in good light shouldn't be too obvious in an image such as this but it would give you a useful increase in shutter speed &/or a little more depth of field with an increased aperture.

Cheers Chris, hopefully the weather will be a bit better tomorrow and I will be able to get out for a walk and test the lens and different settings a bit.
