Not been here since mid 70's, when I was a kid, was a really nice place, lots of wildlife to. looking at these pictures they don't seem as sharp on here as they do on my exported jpegs or as they do in flickr, really weired.Originally posted by sapper View PostReminds me of Fountains Abbey. I lived in Ripon for some time an F A was a favourite haunt, never visited Rievaulx Abbey.

Byland Abbey is worth a look too. Did you look at Rievaulx Terrace? Lovely views and interesting “temple” follies at each end. Good shots of the abbey and it’s nice to see something different from the usual hackneyed views. No.3 for me 🙂.Regards

Didnt know about Byland, we do now though and will be putting that on the list thanks. The terrace was closed for some reason so didn't venture up there. No 3 is my favourite as well.Originally posted by Otto View PostByland Abbey is worth a look too. Did you look at Rievaulx Terrace? Lovely views and interesting “temple” follies at each end. Many thanks, I would love to take photos of many things in the U.S, haven't been their in 10 years, so wished I was into photography back then. Thanks again for your kind comments.Originally posted by Luv2shoot View PostOh, I would love to take photos of things like this. Your photos share a lot of details that make these very interesting to view. Good color and exposure too.
Two thumbs up for shot number 1 and 3.
