  • 12-100mm Arrived last Night

The lens arrived later last night whilst I was out for a cycle so only managed a shot from the upstairs window.

Not a bad view for the first shot. :-)

Early walk this morning before work and spotted a few squirrels running around the woods.

I liked the carpet of flowers too.

I think these first few shots show the versatility of the lens already.

Now what to do with my old 12-60mm.....

You are now discovering why this lens may make you lazy. It beautiful and sharp and tries to be all things to all people....... It almost succeeds!

You will now find yourself trying to find use for your other lenses. ;-)

      Lovely photos, by the way.

There is always a use for the 12-60 or a 12-40 alongside a 12-100. I find the smaller lens useful in busy rooms where one does not want to the bgger lens to dominate the crowd, plus the longer lens can give a shadow from the flash (unless a bounce reflector is used)

Yes, exactly my views. I've kept my 12-35 f2.8, which is so much lighter and less visually intrusive for street and travel use. I love the 12-100, but I have to be in full time 'photographer' mode to get the best out of it.

Ah, you should be very pleased with your purchase.
My favorites are the first, third and the next photo you are going to take.

The 12-60mm is actually larger than the 12-100mm, especially with the MMF attached too. Remember it's a four thirds lens.

I had forgot the size of the 12-60 , you will enjoy the 12-100 even more.
