And I think you can tell why. It looks like it's about to get dumped on.

Is this Matlock by any chance? Love these scenes, living in East Anglia, this would be an impossible shot......
The picture tells the story, great when you have a bad memory.DW.

Close, it's Ambergate just down the A6 from Matlock.

Lovely shot of archetypal English scenery (and weather!).

I see that line of houses going up the hill and think how much of a puff it would be to cycle up there.....

I used to live near Matlock, in Two Dales, Darley Dale. A couple of very old friends in Matlock, which alas I have lost contact with..:-((

Also a torturer of a dentist, but to whom I owe a good set of gnashers too (from the 60's)……...…….

I think the pylon is a mobile phone mast or a TV transmitter mast

It would make a great black and white

Sounds like Peter Sellers...………. Well could do, but a grey day comes to mind. (prefer the colour)…

In spite of my bias for colour, I have to admit that the conversion works very well, Phill.
The foreground paddock of bright green can almost be seen as a road

Yes I was suprised how well it came out too but still prefer the colour version myself.
