60mm F 2.8 just acquired

This chap (or chapess - can't tell the difference!) stayed still long enough for an in camera focus stack. Olympus Em1 mk2 with 60mm f2.8 macro and remote Yongnuo flash. P5040025 is a stacked whereas P5040009 is a single exposure.

Are these just 1:1 or did you use any extension tubes?

Unfortunately, I don't think the image file names are accessible?

Thanks - no extension tubes, just some cropping in lightroom. Sorry about the filenames - yes the second down is bracketted and to be compared with the bottom one.

How did you get the little chaps to stay so still?

Just lucky - perhaps being slightly cool helped. I just grabbed the opportunity whilst I could.

In the absence of file names the second from top is clearly not focus stacked while the bottom one, is the same view but much more in-focus.

WOW! If you're into macro, that is certainly a lens to go for.

Last time I saw something with detail such as these was over 15 years ago. A previous togging forum where the photo's were all done using a reverse lens techique.

That was some fast learning curve Chris They are amazing shots I think you will be down to do a macro tutorial when the BPC gets back to meetings again
