It's not that far off being special; it's certainly a worthwhile shot!

Glad you're liking the new camera. Enjoy!

I agree with John, but crop the top to just above the rock before the first leaf to get rid of the distracting blown highlights and you have a cracking picture.

I'd say pretty good, especially after the crop advised by Paul. Enjoy your E30.

I think it's a beautiful picture and would be interested to know the settings you used because I can't see the EXIF.

I actually like the bright area at the top of the picture, it seems to balance it somehow.

I think a very fine 1px black frame might be a good idea, to 'contain' the white and separate it from the webpage.

thanks for the replys guys ive got to agree with Ellie i like the bright area i think it adds something to the picture the settings i use where f7.1, 8s, iso100 @ 21mm with 0.9 ND filter and 0.6 Grad ND at the top to try and control the highlights a bit. Im off to Glen Coe tommorow hopefully i will get some nice shots.

              thanks

Love the quality of that image, I'm hoping soon to take the leap from my E-500 to the E-30, just confirms my thoughts about the camera. Is that a ghostly image of a person at the top of the shot ?

Re: First time out with e-30

What a lovely shot. I could not get anything like that when I started out.

I am not too worried about the bright area but as you have taken this at a slow exposure and the water flow is smoothed as a result it really does not matter. I am not so sure it is blown at all. Perhaps if you were to try and tone it down using the curves in your photo editor, it might make those distracted by it accept that it is an important element in the image giving it depth.

I hope tthis makes sense - getting tired now
                      Best Regards
