Finally got my E500 back from the camera doctor. Remember, this is my first serious camera and these are the first pics I've taken on it. So constructive comments really welcome.

The only things around to practice on this afternoon were the cats and my grandson...

By the way, does anyone else have the same problem of Safari crashing when you try and upload pics from the gallery.

Cute pics Moneypenny, but sadly they are all suffering with camera shake.

With a shutter speed of 1/10 sec (and with no IS on the E-500) its really no suprise.
You could have raised the ISO setting from the 100 you were using to 400 to get a faster shutter speed.

If hand holding at the 37mm focal lengh you were using you should be aiming for a shutter speed of 1/60 sec. As a general rule double the focal lengh and use that as the shutter speed required for a sharp image depending on how steady your hands are.
