    I can never get butterflies to keep still for me, I always end up chasing them around the garden Fantasic pictures as normal Nick.

      Well this one came to me, at this end of the season it has less choice of where to feed.

        Nice shot. I can't tell from the image, how large across is it with it's wings out. Looks like a tiny fellow. I agree that these are tough to get. Are they slowing down with the colder weather?

            I suppose if you were inclined to pin it out on a board you might get a couple of inches wingtip to wingtip, certainly not a particularly large butterfly.

            I think it was more hunger than cold that brought it to rest for a minute or so - food sources are getting further apart at this time of year.
