Of the three I think the first one is the better picture, you've got in closer and there's load more detail in the bee too.

In fact they are all cropped in attempts at compostion. They could all be cropped further to appear closer.

Odd title - but never mind I've often felt someting similiar with that lens. Great macro lens provided you can get close enough.

Nice shots, certainly unlikely (unlike the title) to scare the horses.

I'm reminded of Rumpole, somewhere in John Mortimers excellent writing there is the tale of a judge, who on sentencing someone for that particular offence, was more upset by the fact it had occurred under one of the better examples of victorian architecture.

Of course victorian architecture has now vanished mainly under Waitrose and Tesco.

As for my 35mm - well that is the object of shame and regret, a cracking sharp lens used largely as a paperweight. Its day will come.

Thanks for the comments.

The interesting thing is that this lens is marketed as one of Oly's "standard" - implying lesser - lenses.

Re the title I have to plead that I posted the pictures last night ... err ... after supper....

It might have been worse - could have been "to bee or not to bee".

BTW please could someone explain (again), in idiot-proof terms, how I can post pictures directly into a post as opposed to into a gallery.
