I saw the urban site where some people explore old abandoned buildings and would love to do something like that - as long as it was legal! Anyway, this is the first picture I have ever taken of an industrial subject... little bit of creative tone mapping. Hope you like.
A great start with industrial images. The tone mapping seems nice and not to overdone. You caught some nice highlights on the silver storage silo's, and the concrete stairs give a nice sight line to the storage facility. The only thing that might be off is that it seems to have a slope down to the left, but that may be due to the perpective or the stairs sinking. Nice image.
I see what you mean about the slight sloping. I've tried to correct it below but found it very difficult! either its the steps or something in the picture... or I'm just too tired, now, having got up early to take it!

Its mostly legal, Treepass is a civil offence, providing you don't break and enter, steal anything (including power, if its still on) you should be okay, however the security guards can be a little grumpy lol..
If your ever up Scotland way give me a shout, I'd be more than happy to take you around some places up here
We went to Yorkshire last year and I am trying to convince my teenage children that the really want to come with us next year to the west of Scotland ... not sure whether wife is convinced either though ... I'll have to work on them.
