We've just got back from a week in the Lakes, in a nice cottage thank goodness, as it was rather damp. Some shots:
Coniston pier:

Furness Abbey, dissolved during the reign of Henry VIII, 1537, shot during the rain of September III, 2009, when it nearly dissolved again.

We actually managed a few walks when it wasn't actually lashing it down - Dunmail Raise and Helm Crag:

And the sun did come out (four times, for a total of abut 30 minutes).
Harrison Stickle, Pavey Ark and a rather full Stickle Ghyll. I wanted to get up there and have a look at the waterfalls but wor lass wasn't having any of it.

And now we're back the sun's shining.
