  • Blue flash

My only encounters with that flashy thing on the top of my 510 were a sudden pop up and curse......until a member on here told me how to turn it off.
Well I used it for real yesterday evening...inspired by Nick Temple-Fry,and others, who use flash on macro wildlife.
This Common Blue was settling down for the night, but the breeze, the light going and it being fidgety made it hard to get anywhere. That's when I remembered the flash.
    This is the outcome.
    Just a slight sharpen.

        Re: Blue flash

I've been coming back a few times to this image, it's very striking. The blue tones suit the insect nicely. I like the detail, particularly the way it's got its legs wrapped around the grains. Very nice
