  • A few minutes in the life of a heron

Today we set off along the towpath of the Grand Union Canal hoping to catch sight of a kingfisher or two - unlucky again but we did meet up with a resident heron.

    1. I'm feeling hungry

    2. Is that something for my lunch?

    3. Ah yes, that fish tastes good!

    4. & 5. I get so excited when I make a killing!

Hope you enjoy the antics of a happy heron.

    Regards, Ann1e

Great set of shots. I also like #2 for the sharpness and position.

Fantastic, Ann1e! If there is one niggle, there are some over-exposed highlights. I only mention this so you can think of this next time you have such a wonderful opportunity as this

Very nice, they always fly off when I point a lens at them

I particularly like the unusual poses and compositions of the last 2.

Looking forward to seeing the Kingfisher shots
