  • Irritating Perfection

Sometimes nature creates an irritating perfection in its forms. Perhaps as a malicous challenge to photographers. Last year for me one manifestation was the simple clover flower (it still is), another is the dandelion. So much detail, so much a product of context.

Anyway here are a couple of shots for comment.

    and the fascination of structure.

    Hi Nick
I think these are amazing. There is something about the beauty, simplicity and yet the complexity of nature which is compelling. Your pictures have captured this perfectly. Which lenses and settings did you use - if you dont mind sharing?

Thank you Nick, Sorry I always forget to look at EXIF.
I was going to experiment using your settings/equipment as a starting point, but being as I dont have any of that equipment I will just have to experiment myself.
I really do like these, I bet the second would make a lovely abstract print.

I hope you do - and share some images with the group. These large heads are great structures and even a small change of angle/light has such an effect on the balance of an image. I look foreward to your interpretations.

I was actually thinking placemat rather than wall print.
