  • Today at Duxford

A friend phoned as he was passing to take me to Duxford to see the Tornado fly past, they're touring the country doing fly pasts as they get withdrawn from service.

The place was packed for the fly-past as were the surrounding roads and fields...

A few snaps of the fly-past:

    13:12:30

    13:12:32

    13:12:41

It really was all over in 15 seconds! A few of the other planes active:

    Retired and loving it.

      Re: Today at Duxford

Nice to see these with blue skies.

Anne and I arrived early today at RAF Halton and pleased we did as the roads either side of the station were more than crowded (if that's possible ).

The trio arrived well in the expected time period and flashed by in seconds and were quickly lost in the overcast skies.

Thanks so much for sharing yours.

      ..
Just like that - gone in a flash! Now in use.

Thanks for sharing I haven't seen a Tornado since I worked for BAE many years ago, but I am quite certain it was not a quiet flypast

We must get over there sometime to visit the IWM and also I want to go see where my ambulance was made (Marshalls of Cambridge)

        Regards
        Andy

          Cool!
I love the sound of distant thunder they make (probably when 20 miles distant!).
          Regards,
