  • Out of The Blue

"No one would have believed, in the last years of the twentieth century, that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space.
Across two hundred million miles of void, invisibly hurtling towards us, came the first of the missiles that were to bring so much calamity to Earth."

So brash it's brilliant in every sense
Not quite got the War of the Worlds quote context though?

Perhaps a quote from Day Of The Triffids would be more appropriate. I could well believe from your shot that these blooms are menacing.

Mark, Phill, Harold, Jeremy - thanks for your thoughts, most welcomed. Not sure that I see a connection here to Day of the Triffids. Being a flower, The Trouble with Lichen may contain some reference to the image.

I have the LP, Rick Wakeman's musical narrated by Richard Burton whose opening line has remained in memory since I first heard it. On processing the gazanias they appeared somewhat manacing as if they were hurtling towards Earth with evil intent. Just my vivid imagination, they are really quite benign. As you are probably aware, I am rarely this creative in processing.
