  • My first visit to Bempton Cliffs [2!]

East Yorkshire saw a lot of Olympus action last week: I went on a Tesni Ward workshop, which was as excellent as we have come to expect. Many thanks to her for a full day's instruction.
    Here's a selection, all with the E-M1ii and 300 f4.

    Northern Gannet, with nesting material.

    Gannet community.

    Contested landing.

    Western jackdaw.

    Guillemot love affair.

Herring gull (I think: I'm yet to pass my Gull ID O-level).

[I'm still not happy with the quality of these images when uploaded via the Gallery: I suppose I'll have to go back to using Flickr, but it's a right pain...]
    Regards,
    Mark

Missed you by a couple if days by the sound of it. You got some great shots there, especially the bif's. I really struggled to catch them and ended up with loads of oof images. That 300mm really works well at a place like this. Will definitely go back.

Thanks for sharing this set of well framed shots. Very nice work indeed there, Mark.

May well consider a visit with the workshop. Even from South Wales...........

Great photos, and sounds though you had good tuition........

She does a variety of other wildlife workshops, some of which are closer to you (e.g. north Staffordshire and Derbyshire - see http://www.tesniward.co.uk/photography-workshops/ ).

Re: My first visit to Bempton Cliffs [2!]

I just got an Olympus email to say she's doing an Olympus Image Space one near Sheffield early June that's a bit cheaper.
