Here are some Photographs take Yesterday at Woodwalton Fen Cambridgeshire all taken with my Oly E500 Sigma 50-500mm bigma at 500mm Apature priority f6.5, Edited in Photoshop Elements 7, your comments please

I had a look at these in your gallery and wonder if you are trying to reduce the file sizes too much. It is hard to judge when there is a lot of compression.

They are very small and that might be part of the reason why the colour seems a little wrong to me. I like the natural saturation but wonder if you have deliberately altered the white balance to jazz the colours up.(particularly the robin).

I cannot see the exif so I'm guessing with the bigma and light at this time of year if they are taken at a high ISO?.

But the subject matter is to my taste and the e500 is a good natural colour camera so I'd be interested in your response as to whether this was a deliberate choice.

I see you are using the 50-500 at f6.5.I also have this lens and find it much sharper at f7.1 or f8.
I too would like to see the exif for your pictures.

The robin has been played around with because there was very little contrast and the bird was lost in the background I agree that the colours are as you said Jazzy but its a learning curve, and I am having problems between my monitor colours and the printer, for the people interested, my monitor is a HP w2007v 20 inch flat screen and I use an Epson Photo R285 I would be interested in any ideas

thank you for your comments, I would normally set f8.0 but because of the conditions even with the snow I was trying to keep the iso settings down and maintain a good shutter speed all three shots were taken surounded by trees with a low sun casting shadows as can be seen by the muntjac, which refused to pose for me.

There are a number of colour calibration products which sort out the screen and some the sort out from screen to printer.

I use a spyder2 screen calibration device and it works fine on my MAC monitor. I use an Epson printer too. The R2400 printer is pretty good at colour matching the screen without any real problems as long as I stick to the Epson papers.

But if you have a look through the search facility you might find something of interest or someone to ask

And we'll all tell you we are still on a learning curve! Thats part of the fun.

One thing to try is posting images at the same size as you have but at 300k file size. If you can do that from elements without using save for the web then we'll be able to see the exif easily.
