I had 90' to kill late on Saturday afternoon before meeting some friends near Southwold, so I dropped in to RSPB Minsmere.
The light was lovely, but there were only distant sightings of waterfowl heading home, and a swirling cloud of Knot under the Moon.
The visit was livened by some bunnies feeding and chasing around near the reserve HQ: those two were with the M1ii, 300 and 1.4tc, handheld at 1/125s. I still find the IS of this combination startling.
It can't perform miracles, however: just before I left in the fading gloom, I watched a marsh harrier pluck a vole from the reeds under 50y away, but even at ISO 3200 I couldn't get a crisp image because of subject movement at 1/200s. The adjacent vegetation was sharp, though!
