  • Ten Random Snaps - A Little Love For the 45mm f1.8

And, of course, the E-P5. I don't often use this little lens, so I thought I'd give it a little love. All taken yesterday.

For the one just above, I found the OOC JPEG nicer than anything I could get out of SilverFX. Perhaps because the light was harsh/interesting already.

For the one below, on the other hand, SilverFX did the trick nicely.

If this particular lens has one particular achilles heel, it's the minimum focus distant, which isn't terribly minimal.

Nice shots. I like the one of the street musician. The 45/1.8 is a great little lens. I tried the Nocticron 42.5 f1.2 briefly but really whilst it's better than the little Oly lens, unless you're doing serious portrait work it really doesn't warrant the 5x price tag.

        Yes some excellent images Jason

How much are they down to the lens and/or processing. Some really nice brick colours....

I also like to see the Jesus Christ is up and around again.................

Thanks all. Processing.... Not a lot to be said. Lightroom, some raw/some JPEG. With the raws, I used mostly used the Camera Vivid profile which matches in camera vivid reasonably well. I've been meaning to get the Huelight profiles for my Olympus bodies (worked really well on the Sony and Ricoh cameras I also own).

Nice lens, the 45/1.8. I must say, the statue looks as much like Alan Turing as I do! Nice set of photos.
