  • Light curtain.

The weather forecast looked suitable for a decent sunrise yesterday morning so I headed down to Colpoy's Bay. This was as colourful as it got and is about 20 minutes after the sun rose.

There was a few birds around but it was to dark for any half decent shots. I was just about to pack up and head home when this happened.

It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

It wasn't a wasted trip after all, then. The great thing about landscapes and light is you never know what's going to happen.

I suppose I should be grateful to a female Belted Kingfisher and a female Common Merganser with young as it was the hope of the light improving that made me hang around.
