I like it. It's something about the horizontal lines/pattern on the water surface and how that is broken by the clear image of the bird in flight.

I like it, but I'd soften the water as it's sharpness is a little hard on the eyes.
Excellent shot though, very well captured.

Yep, i like it Nick, but then i'm biased, as I love bird photos. Particularly like the symmetry of it.

It's the hardness of the water (in texture/colour) set against the simplicity of the bird form that appealed to me. But it's on that edge where maybe the background is too hard (certainly not a picture for tired eyes - which I had when I first reviewed it). Mark may well be right, though maybe I could achieve the same result through playing a bit with the contrast.
