  • Lakeland...

On holiday in Lakeland this week, where yesterday we introduced our youngest daughter (aged 6) to the delights of fell-walking. A fairly short bimble over to Haystacks on what turned out to be a beautiful day. To see her face when the first 'big view' came up warmed out hearts, bless her.

A few from yesterday, and one from Borrowdale today. Mainly used my new Pen F with either 7-14 or 12-40 Pro glass:

Borrowdale this afternoon - shrouded in mist/cloud and still utterly breath-taking:

Spectacular is indeed the word for them Richard. Lovely shots, especially the last, misty one. Quite a scenic change from Lincolnshire I imagine.

Wonderful shots Richard. Really like the muted colours too.

I love the feeling of recession in the Buttermere one - aerial perspective is working with you well there, and the light processing works well.

              Re: Lakeland...

Thanks for all the very kind comments fellas - it's really appreciated. Has been great using the Pen this week, and the (mostly) dry weather has helped too.

What's impressing me most is the exposure accuracy of the Oly cameras and the ease of working with their ORF files - so much more forgiving (and less frustrating!) than the Fuji RAFs. Sure the Pro2 is a wonderful camera but the E-M1/Pen are a pair I've gelled with in a very short time.

The D700 and FX glass has stayed at home.
