Looks like the builders used the same angle as they did on the Shard.

Well composed Graham. Contrast between inventive architecture and the boring monolith on far right.
Am trying to work out if it's downriver of the Shard? Do you think it's topped out, or will there suddenly be another bulge?

I was just looking at this very view last week, and wondering what they would nickname this ugly new building .... I think you nailed it!

Hi Margaret - I am in enough trouble with some people in this user group, but I would like to get to know your architectural preferences. Maybe most things built before 1900 have a certain presence, and agreed most of the stuff built between 1950 and 1975 were 'carbuncles', but IMHO some of the work going on today (including the Bump), are really refreshing.

Oh I like a lot of the modern stuff - La Defense area in Paris is spectacular for this kind of architecture - but I just don't care for this particular building. It looks unbalanced. No doubt it will win all kinds of awards....

Margaret who knows - still don't know if it has 'topped out' yet.
