Oil on canvas board 14' X 20'
Hot off the easel an hour ago, a work I have struggled with, on and off over the past few weeks.
The inspiration arose out of E3 images shot after heavy rains over the Wangaratta wetlands.
I've re-photographed and replaced Flight of the Ibis as it was badly underexposed due to poor indoor light at 8:00am (we had one almighty thunderstorm).
The colours and tone now accurately depict the painting. Much softer, if you visited earlier you will see the difference. (Galaxy6 image)

I'll take that as a compliment, thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for a thoughtful comment. In this piece I've tried to loosen my brushwork a little. In painting, the placement of elements, the vertical and intersecting horizontals can be manipulated at will. Texture, colour, composition, lighting, "dof", etc are all within the control of the painter, he's Photoshop personified on steriods!

Sounds complicated, but you seem to be handling it like an Old Master!
Good tonal range and the water is exceptionally fluid.
