  • Kingfisher with fish

The two Kingfishers I spotted a few weeks ago in a heavily vegetated pond in the city public park are still around. They will show up same time almost every evening when, alternating between two perches and catching fish.

Here's a challenge for you Tord. I've missed the shot at least twice so see if you have better reactions/skills. Common Kingfishers regurgitate anything indigestible as pellets like Owls do. I've seen one do it on at least two occasions but their body language didn't register with me in time to get the shot.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

Beautiful shots Tord and love seeing your species of KF. Very well taken and the fish is a bonus. Excellent shots.

Hi Danny, it's a long time since we had a discussion about birds butts.

I don't remember what I sent you, I could have some more by now.

Lovely pictures Torden. I've tried photographing birds from time to time so know how hard it is to get shots like these. Fantastic.

Great shots Tord, I really like the last one.
We have a pair of Kingfishers on the local river but I have never managed a decent shot or even sussed out their favourite perches, I usually see them flying passed me.
