  • A new ship in town

Here are some shots of a ship that sailed into town last night. I was on Parton beach shooting sunset when I saw this head into harbour.

    Edit
The Ship is the TS Royalist a Sea Cadets ship.

Nice, the first for me by a small margin.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

Another one for the 1st image Alf Stunning. Brill sky, brill reflection, unusual ship and a scene of real calmness.

#2 for me - but I think I'd darken the base of the floodlit chimney? so that it doesn't distract from the the ship nearby.

Has to be #3 - as I have opined before, less is more - a ship in it's natural environment. Is it a Barque? where inbound?

I'm liking all three for the various colours but in 3, 1 and 2 order as they show the final stages of coming into port.

BTW, you may possibly have scoped one of the tall ships due into Blyth for the Tall Ships Regatta which takes place 26 - 29 of this month?
It's not what inspires us that is important, it's where the journey takes us.

The Candlestick is a local landmark.

It is only about 100 miles away but it has a long sail to get to Blyth by then.

#1 seems a tad sharper than #2, so I'm in the #1 camp. Both have captured the lighting to perfection though.
